Swiss Post, syndicom and transfair have revised and further developed several of the existing collective employment contracts. The common goal is to continue to offer staff modern and attractive employment conditions in the future. The three social partners negotiated the new umbrella CEC, which governs the cooperation between the social partners. The parties also negotiated the new company CECs for Post CH and PostFinance Ltd. These agreements apply to around 25,500 Swiss Post staff and 2,800 PostFinance staff.

Swiss Post staff to receive new collective employment contract as of 1 January 2025
Swiss Post, the syndicom union and the transfair staff association have concluded negotiations on the new umbrella collective employment contract (CEC) and the two company collective employment contracts for Post CH and PostFinance Ltd. The negotiating delegations have revised the existing contracts and renegotiated various points. They will take effect on 1 January 2025.
An overview of the most important new features
From 2025, the new company CECs will include higher supplements for evening, night, Sunday and on-call deployments, an increase in the amount for loyalty bonuses and a new public holiday regulation. The social partners have also defined that in future, as part of the annually negotiated salary measures, a share of 0.4% of the salary sum will be available for structural salary adjustments. The salary region system will also be simplified. Instead of four salary regions, there will only be two in future. The new umbrella CEC boosts the enforcement of the CEC. It also contains new overarching provisions on HR policy and social partnership.
The new contracts take effect on 1 January 2025
The decision-making committees, i.e. the Swiss Post and PostFinance Boards of Directors as well as the responsible bodies at syndicom and transfair, have approved the outcome of the negotiations. This means that the new umbrella CEC and the two company CECs will take effect on 1 January 2025. The new contracts replace the 2021 contracts and will be valid for at least three years. The staff of PostBus Ltd, PostLogistics Ltd, Post Real Estate Management and Services Ltd, Presto Presse-Vertriebs AG and notime (Schweiz) AG are not affected by the changes to the company CEC for Post CH and PostFinance Ltd. These companies have separate collective employment contracts, which are negotiated in separate delegations with the social partners.
Swiss Post to continue to offer modern and attractive working conditions in future
The negotiated changes have made it possible to maintain the very good level of employment conditions at Swiss Post and PostFinance. In the period of change, the two companies will continue to offer their staff stable, fair and attractive employment conditions in comparison to the rest of the sector. The result also takes account in equal measure the social and corporate responsibility of Swiss Post and PostFinance.
