Salary measures for 2025: joint commission to make decision

Swiss Post and PostFinance, together with their social partners, are handing over pay negotiations to their arbitration commission to decide on salary measures for 2025. All parties at the negotiating table agree that employees with a collective employment contract (CEC) are to receive more pay. Swiss Post will therefore make a payment of 400 francs to CEC staff in January, which will be taken into account in the salary measures.

Commission is working on solution

Last December, two rounds of negotiations were held on the salary measures for 2025. Swiss Post, PostFinance, the trade union syndicom and the staff association transfair took part in the talks. It became clear that the negotiation partners have widely differing views on the economic situation and the outlook of the Group. For this reason, the social partners have been unable to reach an overall agreement either in the regular pay negotiations or in the specialist standing committee with joint representation. Now, in accordance with the agreement in the umbrella collective employment contract, the joint arbitration commission will work out a solution. The commission consists of two union representatives, two employer representatives and an independent chairperson. At the request of the negotiation partners, it will make a final decision on the salary measures.

400 francs with January salary

It is of great importance to Swiss Post to enable a swift solution, together with its social partners, and to maintain its very good salary level. The cost of living is rising for all employees. For this reason, Swiss Post will make a one-off partial advance payment of 400 francs in January based on an employment level of 100% as the first part of the salary measures. This upfront salary measure is a recognition of the great commitment shown in the past year by CEC staff. Staff covered by the Post CH and PostFinance Ltd company CECs will benefit from this special payment.

Salary measures from April

As part of the social partnership with the trade union syndicom and the staff association transfair, Swiss Post and PostFinance hold annual pay negotiations to determine the salary measures for staff covered by the Post CH and PostFinance Ltd CEC. The salary measures will apply with effect from 1 April 2025. If a decision is not reached until after 1 April 2025, they will be applied retroactively.
