Your job with a focus on IT business analysis

Work for the smartest banking in Switzerland

At PostFinance, we work on ways of managing Switzerland’s money both now and in the future. We create practical solutions for our customers and help shape the technology trends on the market. We achieve this thanks to our unique culture, which enables us to work with a pioneering spirit every day.

Your work with a focus on IT business analysis

As a bridge-builder, you are the touchpoint between specialist concepts and tangible IT solutions. On the entire spectrum from make to buy, PostFinance offers you a wide range of options. Alongside the product owner and other stakeholders, you focus on internal and external customers’ needs and expectations in our user stories. As part of an agile team, you are responsible for your product, and you support your specified solution during its short implementation cycles, right through to successful introduction. But your work is much more than simply implementing projects – you make a long-lasting impact on the design of our IT landscape, laying the foundations for sustained success.

You like respectful relationships – we’ve made them our culture

We’re convinced that the key to mutual success is simple and direct communication on an equal footing. Teams enjoy a high degree of autonomy when it comes to where and when they work. But self-determination goes even further than this – you can have a big say in the direction of your professional development. Thanks to our active T-shaped culture, the door is open for you to make the best possible use of your strengths.

The core of our agile way of working and our cooperation is the “enterprise agile delivery” framework (EAD for short). When it comes to designing and developing the EAD framework further, PostFinance is guided by well-known, firmly established frameworks and practices. In doing so, we incorporate aspects that are a fit for our company and culture, and deliberately avoid those that are not.

First-hand accounts – our employees talk about their job

  • “I work in the Mobile App unit, designing the future of digital banking at PostFinance alongside my colleagues. In my role, I support developments in the app, from fleshing out the initial idea right through to the finished product. I analyse the requirements, and I then use them to create the specification for developing new features. During this process, I maintain a close dialogue with the relevant stakeholders (e.g. UX designers, partner teams, etc.). Our agile approach enables my specification to be translated into code promptly, and I can verify very quickly whether all requirements are covered. The thing I like most about my job is that my activities have a direct impact on the customer experience. Openness to new ideas or alternative implementation options enables us to create the best possible solution for our customers as a team.”

  • “As part of a dynamic, helpful and extremely diverse team, I am involved with developing new and existing compliance solutions. The specialist tasks and processes in the Compliance unit are highly complex. Our goal is to automate them as much as possible and optimize them for the specialist units. To achieve this, we work closely with the different specialist units so that we can understand their needs and requirements and include them in the process optimization. In order to guarantee effective communication between the specialist units and our team and to implement the processes successfully, we use the BPMN standard. This standard enables us to model the business processes and use the Camunda Process Engine directly for implementation. While tackling these challenges, I enjoy working closely with a wide variety of roles, gaining insight into and understanding of a progressive, very technical world and promoting individual strengths.”
