Press Release

PostFinance to align its organization to meet the needs and satisfaction of its customers

PostFinance is focusing even more closely on the financial needs and satisfaction of its customers with its 2025–2028 strategy. It will align its units with the new strategy as of 1 December 2025. The focus will be on the private customer and business customer segments and the creation of optimal customer experiences.

PostFinance began the new strategy period in January 2025. With effect from 1 December 2025, the financial company will align itself more closely towards the market and its customers. The Board of Directors has approved the adapted organizational structure and the composition of the Executive Board.

Creating added value for customers

With two clear distribution units – private customers and business customers – and a Customer Experience unit, PostFinance is making a clear statement that it intends to further strengthen its consultation and service quality. PostFinance accompanies its private customers with needs-based services during their different life stages and events. PostFinance supports business customers in their everyday operations and in the digitization and simplification of their payment processes. By establishing the Segment & Sales Steering staff unit, the financial company will ensure data-driven steering of the customer segments and distribution channels. In the units with broad-based functions, such as Finance, Risk, Compliance & Legal and IT & Operations, PostFinance is focusing on continuity. The units will remain largely unchanged and will continue to ensure security and stability. The Corporate Development unit will ensure ongoing and sustainable development and flexible alignment of PostFinance on the market.

“We are consciously positioning ourselves as a customer-centric organization,” says CEO Beat Röthlisberger. “As a reliable and safe financial partner, we want to create added value for our customers, our owner Swiss Post and the people of Switzerland. The new organizational structure will enable us to focus more closely on the needs of our customers and offer them optimal support.”

PostFinance is aligning itself with the market environment

PostFinance is also responding to changes in the market environment and to the volatile interest rate trends with the adapted organizational structure. For PostFinance, whose revenue is heavily dependent on interest operations, falling interest rates make the prospect of a recovery in margins less achievable. With its increased focus on non-interest-sensitive business and realignment of the organization, PostFinance can positively counter this interest rate development.

Changes of personnel on the Executive Board

The adapted organizational structure will lead to changes on the Executive Board as of 1 December 2025. Key functions will be filled by managers who are already part of the Executive Board and who are highly familiar with PostFinance. Sandra Lienhart will take over the Private Customers unit, and Felicia Kölliker the Business Customers unit. Ron Schneider will be responsible for the Customer Experience unit. The IT & Operations unit will remain the responsibility of Markus Fuhrer. The recruitment process to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) was initiated in 2024, following the announcement of Kurt Fuchs’ resignation and is at an advanced stage. The vacant management positions for the Risk, Compliance & Legal and Corporate Development units will be advertised in the coming weeks.
