Banking packages bundle accounts and services together into a fair, transparent range of services.

PostFinance is bundling together its accounts and services for your daily finances into a fair and transparent range of services, comprising both the Smart and SmartPlus banking packages. With Smart and SmartPlus, you can carry out your banking transactions securely and conveniently in e-finance and the PostFinance App, or on paper if you wish. The Smart banking package includes private and savings accounts, the PostFinance Card, free cash withdrawals from Postomats and cashless payments via TWINT. With the SmartPlus banking package, you also receive a credit card and can withdraw cash free of charge with the PostFinance Card from ATMs at other banks – both in Switzerland and abroad. With the SmartPlus banking package, you also receive a discount of 10% on the first annual premium for a property insurance policy brokered by PostFinance.

PostFinance now only offers private and savings accounts and the PostFinance Card as part of one of the two banking packages. Depending on how you use our services, you choose the banking package that suits you best. You can switch your banking package at any time.

You can easily switch your banking package in e-finance under “Settings and profile” > “My products” > “Banking package”, by phone or in any PostFinance branch. With the banking package advisory tool, you can find out which banking package suits you best in just a few clicks.

You can cancel the paper option at any time in e-finance under “Settings and profile”, “My products”, “Delivery of account documents”. If you do not have e-finance yet, you can order it at any time. You will then receive all account documents digitally in e-finance.

PostFinance focuses on the Swiss market area. For regulatory reasons, only a very limited range of products is available to customers domiciled abroad. Therefore, in order to save on fees, it is generally not possible for our customers domiciled abroad to benefit from products outside the limited range of services. Please note that for customers residing abroad, the 25 franc fee per payment transaction account remains unchanged regardless of your choice of banking package.

If you have the SmartPlus banking package, the insurance discount applies to all PostFinance property insurance policies (car, motorcycle, travel and legal protection insurance), except for those for which Great Lakes Insurance SE is the insurer. The discount is granted only once per insurance policy on an annual net premium (excluding taxes, duties, etc.) and is credited to your PostFinance private account within three months. The discount lapses or is not granted if your banking package is changed from Smart to SmartPlus and back within two years and/or if the policy is terminated and a new policy is taken out for the same insurance object.
