Information on fees related to the estate

Various fees may apply relating to the estate. Find out more about the deadlines and minimum and maximum costs here.

Estate processing and account closure at PostFinance are free of charge within the first 12 months after notification of death.

Similarly, all the bereaved are exempt from the withdrawal conditions on the deceased’s savings accounts. The following services are charged to the estate:

  • Price for estate management: for the management of accounts in the estate which are not closed within 12 months, CHF 30 per quarter.
  • Price for processing an estate: for services outside the free standard process and the manual settlement of payments, CHF 30 per 15 minutes.
  • Price for the clarification of the estate: for checking invalid legitimization documents, CHF 30 per 15 minutes.
