With more than 420 employees, including 190 service technicians, and constantly expanding capacity, BWT is committed to Switzerland as a production location. From the pharmaceutical industry to catering

BWT develops high-tech products and customized technical solutions for companies in various sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, catering, hotels, hospitals, sanitary facilities and swimming pools. The focus is on providing high-quality, hygienically clean water that meets the specific requirements of each of the industries it serves. For example, BWT offers special solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, where ultra-pure water is essential for the production of medicines. Its solutions also include filtration technologies for swimming pools designed to ensure optimum water quality and hygiene. Water treatment systems are also key in the catering industry, for example for coffee machines or water dispensers as a more sustainable solution compared to bottled mineral water. Technologies such as mineralization, softening and descaling play a role here in extending the service life of appliances and reducing operating costs.

Products and services for private households

BWT also provides clean, soft and mineralized water in private homes. The company is particularly proud of its “Magnesium Mineralized Water Technology”, which turns drinking water into a special taste experience by adding magnesium. BWT has also developed water softening systems that reduce limescale deposits in pipes and household appliances, extending their service life.

Committed to sustainability

In the area of the environment, BWT’s efforts are many and varied. Water technology reduces the use of single-use plastic bottles in both private households and companies, and in public infrastructure.
