Thanks to the PostFinance EFT/POS (electronic funds transfer at the point of sale) contract, you can accept the PostFinance Card at your ep2 payment terminal in no time at all and also benefit from one of the lowest transaction prices in Switzerland.

POS management system (PMS)

With the POS management system (PMS) for managing, assessing and monitoring terminal and transaction processes, you always have an overview – regardless or whether you are using a single or multi-terminal system or a company-wide solution with a branch network.

1. Customers prove their identity with the card reader using their card and PIN, 2. The amount to be paid is checked, and if the account has sufficient credit balance, it is approved for payment within seconds, 3. The transactions are transmitted to PostFinance at daily closing, 4. The purchase amount is debited from the cardholder, 5. Amounts paid using the PostFinance Card are credited to the seller’s business account on the following day

  • No, you are free to choose between crediting a PostFinance account or an account at a third-party bank. If you use a PostFinance account, you will benefit from payment being credited quickly to your account, i.e. no later than a day after the transactions are submitted. If you use a bank account of a third-party bank, we cannot guarantee that payment will be made the following day.

  • The fact that PostFinance is independent from card organizations allows it to set its own prices. What’s more, there are no interchange fees or levies involved, which would increase the prices.
