Set up your PostFinance cards for Garmin Pay
In order to use your Garmin watch with payment function as a payment method, you first have to activate it and link it to your PostFinance card.
- Install and open the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone
- Tap on the Garmin device that you want to activate for Garmin Pay
- Tap on Garmin Pay and on Add card
- After you have entered your PostFinance card and your contact details and confirmed these, you will be asked to verify your credit card.
- You will receive a confirmation that your card has been added successfully, and you’re all set!

To set up Garmin Pay you need:
- A Garmin smartwatch or another compatible Garmin device that supports Garmin Pay
- A compatible smartphone with a current version of the operating system (iOS or Android) so you can use the Garmin Connect app to add cards
- A PostFinance Card combined with Debit Mastercard
- Credit or prepaid card from PostFinance
- A Garmin Connect account and the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone

How to make a contactless payment with Garmin Pay
- To start making a payment, press the button on your smartwatch for Garmin Pay and enter your PIN
- Select the card you want to pay with
- Hold your smartwatch near the contactless payment terminal. As soon as the terminal recognizes the payment, the transaction is processed and you receive a confirmation
- You receive a notification on your smartwatch and in the Garmin Connect app to confirm that the payment has been successful
