Block or unblock your card or replace an existing card

Your card has been stolen or is defective? In e-finance and the PostFinance App, you can block and unblock your card independently. You also have the option of replacing an existing card. The new card you order will be sent to your home within a few days.

Are you waiting for your new card?

You will receive your new card by post within five working days. In the meantime, you can use your new card digitally via Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Block card in e-finance

Step 1: Click on the three dots next to the card you want to unblock and select “Unblock card”. You can see whether a card is blocked or active in the “Status” column.

You can unblock the blocked card yourself in the app. This function can be found under More > My cards.

Have a new card sent abroad

Are you currently abroad and want us to send you the new card internationally? No problem. Call us to arrange this.

  • Do you know the right PIN? If yes: you can unblock your PostFinance Card yourself after incorrectly entering the PIN three times at any Postomat or ATM in Switzerland. Follow the instructions on the device display. If you enter the PIN incorrectly again, the card will be withheld. In this case, contact us to order a new PostFinance Card.

  • If you order the card yourself via e-finance or the PostFinance App, you will be charged 25 francs per new card.

    If you order a new card through our hotline, you will be charged 40 francs per PostFinance Card. Credit/prepaid card replacements are charged at 30 francs via the hotline.

  • If you can no longer use your card, you require a new one. You can order a new card independently in the PostFinance App or in e-finance. Our hotline is of course also available to help you.

  • Block your card as quickly as possible. The easiest way to do this is with the PostFinance App or in e-finance. Our hotline is of course also available to help you.

  • If your card was blocked due to theft or loss, you need a new card. The easiest way is to order a new card in the PostFinance App or in e-finance. Our hotline is of course also available to help you.

Useful information

Cards that have been withheld by an ATM either in Switzerland or abroad will be destroyed and cannot be reclaimed. Please block the withheld card immediately and order a new card.
