What Boullard Musique particularly likes about PostFinance

  • Customer-centric thinking
  • Straightforward approach
  • Relationship of equal partners

The industrial zone in the municipality of Morges looks just like industrial zones look: grey warehouses and office buildings everywhere. But on Avenue Riond-Bosson, one premises stands out: a building complex in rich blue, a billboard showing three musicians posing above the entrance, a bright orange background. Welcome to the colourful musical universe of Boullard Musique.

Marvellous range

What awaits when you enter would have filled music greats such as Jimi Hendrix or Frédéric Chopin with enthusiasm, and it also leaves amateurs in awe: in a space covering some 2,500 square metres and two floors, music lovers will find hundreds of guitars of every kind, grand pianos at prices ranging from the affordable to the priceless, saxophones, harps, accordions – in short, the largest ranges of instruments and music accessories in Switzerland. Boullard Musique stocks over 50,000 instruments and accessories in the middle and upper price segments.

“PostFinance has provided us with a payment platform that is simple and very efficient.”

Alexandre Boullard, Managing Director, Boullard Musique SA

Harmonious growth over the years

“It all started in a very small way, in 1979,” says Alexandre Boullard looking back. “In those days, we were a small team of musicians and instrument makers selling, repairing and tuning instruments in a little shop in the old town of Morges.” The company grew slowly, but steadily. Today, Alexandre Boullard employs 34 people. What his music specialists try to do is to find the best instruments around the world and recommend instruments to customers that are finely tuned to their needs. The advice they offer goes far beyond the usual: for example, well-known drummers come and go at Boullard Musique. In test sessions, cameras are placed around a drum kit and in the area around the feet to provide drummers with very specific instructions and information on optimizing their rhythm technique. Subtle musical advice of this kind takes expert knowledge, and that’s something Boullard Musique has in every discipline.

Specialist knowledge from pros

“My people are the best of the best on the job market,” says Alexandre Boullard with confidence. When his experts give talks online in blogs, video tutorials and explanatory films about how to tune a snare drum correctly, when they explain the assembly of a Yamaha M8X synthesiser or analyse the sound of different mouthpieces, you can tell they know exactly what they’re talking about.

PostFinance supports the company

PostFinance also knows what it’s talking about, albeit in a very different area, and has supported Boullard Musique for many years.
