CH-DD direct debit scheme from PostFinance remains in place

In consultation with the bodies of the Swiss financial center, SIX has decided to discontinue the existing LSV+/BDD direct debit procedures as of 30 September 2028. This does not apply to PostFinance’s CH-DD (Core and B2B direct debit) direct debit scheme. PostFinance also offers attractive billing solutions as an alternative to the LSV+/BDD.

PostFinance uses a modern direct debit scheme with its CH-DD direct debit (Core direct debit and B2B direct debit schemes). This enables invoice issuers, based on payment authorizations, to automatically collect receivables in Swiss francs and euros from PostFinance customers using standardized ISO formats.

No end date has been defined for the CH-DD direct debit scheme. Our CH-DD direct debit solution will be available as usual. Registrations for invoice issuers will continue to be accepted.

In addition to the CH-DD direct debit scheme, PostFinance offers its invoice issuers alternative payment methods such as eBill, B2B e-bill, Paper Bill and eBill Donations.

In order to use PostFinance’s Billing Solutions service, invoice issuers should ideally have software (ERP) that they use to create their invoices and to send them to PostFinance via an interface. You send us your invoice data electronically through a single interface, and we make sure your invoices are delivered to their intended recipients reliably in the right channel.

In Switzerland, two types of direct debit scheme are used: the CH-DD direct debit scheme (Core and B2B Direct Debit), when an account is debited by PostFinance, or LSV+/BDD, when an account with another Swiss bank is debited. The direct debit schemes are not interoperable. This means: no bank accounts can be debited with CH-DD direct debits, and no PostFinance accounts can be debited with LSV.
